Chitral borders the east with Phander, southeast with swat valley, northeast with china and the Wakhan Corridor of Afghanistan. The Upper Dir District of KPK lies in the south. Along the way, the connecting road from Shandur Pass to Phander allows travelers to experience another beautiful part of the world. Moreover, the Chitral and Silk Route Jeep Safari covers many dream destinations; as a result, you witness Chitral, Kalash, Hunza, Phander, the Karakoram Highway, and Taxila.
Kalash, Bamburet, Garam Chashma, National Gol Park, and Shandur Pass are all wonderful places to visit; however, the Tirich Mir peak is especially worth seeing. From there, we will enter Phander in Gilgit-Baltistan via Shandur Pass. Although a week in the majestic Karakoram ranges is enough to explore the region, travelers often leave their hearts behind. Overall, the Chitral and Silk Route Jeep Safari offers something for everyone, whether they are mountaineers, trekkers, or culture lovers.
Chitral and Silk Route
We begin our Chitral and Silk Route Jeep Safari from Islamabad, traveling toward Chitral and Gilgit. From there, we proceed along the Karakoram Highway (2,440 m) to the capital of Hunza. Along the way, Rakaposhi comes into view, rising dramatically with its sheer, ice-covered walls. After a short drive on the KKH, we reach the Passu–Batura Glacier (63 km) and the serene Borith Lake.
We drive along the Karakoram Highway to Khunjerab Pass, located on the border between China and Pakistan. Afterward, after enjoying the rolling green highlands, we return to Karimabad. Along the route, we cross the adventurous Hussaini Suspension Bridge in Passu, adding a memorable experience to the journey.
We depart for Islamabad, enjoying the gigantic views from Babusar Top along the way. During the journey, travelers follow one of the most spectacular segments of the ancient Silk Road, passing through enchanting mountain landscapes that lead toward the Chinese border.
